Rabies is the most ancient and deadliest virus known to man. Nobody has ever survived without the vaccine—that was until Wisconsin teenager Jeanna Giese made medical history. Bitten by a bat in her local church she developed full-blown rabies and was destined to die frothing at the mouth, writhing in agony. But, her doctor refused to give up, even if it meant temporarily ‘killing’ her himself to fool the virus.
